New Committee positions
New positions are being created in the HVP UK Committee, allowing more people to get directly involved and challenge their enthusiasm and energy for the betterment of the HVP schools in Nepal.
To apply for any position simply email hvpuk.org.uk@gmail.com expressing your interest, and summarising in no more than 500 words why you think you'd be a good candidate. You will need to attend the HVP UK meeting on Saturday 20th September, however you may well be able to get involved before then.
Vice Secretary
Assisting Secretary with all duties, including:
Creation and dissemination of committee meeting agendas
Taking minutes at Committee meetings and disseminating them
Collation and submission of annual return
Reminding committee of action points and deadlines as appropriate
Liaising with Charity Commission as required to ensure HVP UK conforms to its legal obligations as a registered charity
Membership Secretary
Management of the members database and processing of new members
Communication with members
Reporting to the HVP UK Committee on the status of membership
Developing initiatives for recruitment of more members, in liaison with the Recruitment Officer
Recruitment Officer
Assisting Membership Secretary in management of members database and processing of new members
Communication with members
Publicising and promoting membership scheme to attract new members
Reporting to the committee and members on ideas for recruiting more members and the success of initiatives since previous meeting
Sponsorship Officer
Assisting Sponsorship Secretary in collation and distribution of sponsorship reports
Publicising sponsorship scheme and attracting new sponsors
Social Secretary/ies
Organising and publicizing HVP UK social events, ensuring that at least one a year takes place
Fundraising Officers (2+)
Exploring new potential methods of raising funds for HVP UK , including grant applications, fundraising events, sponsorship, advertising etc
Reporting back to members and the committee at meetings on new ideas and possibilities for fundraising
Organising and publicizing at least one fundraising event each year, in liaison with the Social Secretary
New Treasurer
April Coetzee is HVP UK's new treasurer following Alan Marklew's retirement from the post. HVP UK and HVP Nepal extend a massive thank you to Alan for all his years of valuable service reforming the financial systems and maximising HVP UK's potential interest and gift aid income, and warmly welcomes April.
