Thali is a small village within the Kathmandu Valley to the North West of the capital. Agriculture provides the main livelihood and so the children who come to study at HVP Thali mostly come from poor, farmer families.
Thali is the most recent and smallest of the schools. It was originally founded in 1991 and was formerly located in the village of Indrayani. With the help of HVP UK and other international donors, the school has been able to purchase its own land and buildings. Classrooms and facilities at Thali are simple yet adequate, although quite basic compared to those now at HVP Cental and HVP Dang. The school provides education for around 350 to 400 children.
