HVP UK co-ordinates a membership scheme consisting of over 100 supporters and sponsors across the UK. Most members are people who have come into contact with the work of Hindu Vidyapeeth (HVP) in Nepal – such as former volunteers who have worked at HVP Schools - or their family and friends. Others simply believe that the work of the HVP movement is having a meaningful, positive and lasting impact on society in Nepal, and therefore wish to lend their support.

Members pay a £20 membership donation each year. The main aim of our membership scheme is to gives us a reliable and consistent income to enable us to plan ahead and ensure that all of the projects of the HVP movement can be planned realistically and carried through in the most effective and sustainable way possible.

Making a regular gift of an annual membership subscription is perhaps the easiest way that you can help HVP UK. As well as helping provide the dependable income we need to help support the on-going work in Nepal, membership also entitles you to:

HVP UK Newsletter: Our bi-annual newsletter featuring the latest news and developments from Nepal and the UK.

HVP Herald Magazine: The HVP school magazine packed with news from all three schools, articles and student contributions.

Complimentary membership of the Britain-Nepal Society: Founded to promote good relations between the people of the UK and Nepal. The society hosts a number of evening talks and events throughout the year.

Invitation to social events and HVP themed events: A chance to meet with fellow HVP supporters. For former volunteers and visitors to Nepal an occasion to reminisce about those happy times!

Invitation to participate in HVP UK committee meetings: All members are welcome to participate in committee meetings. Members also have the right to vote at our AGM.

Most of all becoming a member is the best and easiest possible way for you to contribute to the development of the HVP movement in Nepal. £20 a year may not seem like a great deal of money, but your regular gift will help give us the resources we need to continue our work in helping build a brighter future for Nepal.
