Why HVP is Special

The HVP Schools

The Hindu Vidyapeeth (HVP) institutions are coeducational schools that provide education for children up to SLC level (Nepal’s GCSE/O-Level equivalent).

The HVP schools are charitably run institutions and operate on a non-profit basis. HVP is truly inclusive, embracing children of all backgrounds and promoting education for girls in what still remains a traditionally male-dominated society. The make-up of students at the schools reflects the amazing diversity of Nepal's different ethnic groups, castes and faiths. Sponsorship is provided to poor and needy students. Many of these are orphaned children, those of so-called ‘untouchable’ caste or those from excluded communities.

There are currently three separate HVP school branches. Collectively across the three schools, over 1,000 students are benefiting from HVP education.
