HVP UK provides practical support and financial assistance to help the work of the Hindu Vidyapeeth (HVP) movement in Nepal. We also act as a forum for HVP friends, supporters and former volunteers to share their experiences with each other and keep up to date with news and developments from the HVP schools in Nepal.

HVP UK is entirely volunteer-led, so 100% of funds raised goes towards helping our beneficiaries in Nepal.

HVP UK Key Activities Include:

Membership: For as little as £3 per month you can be a member of HVP UK, and in return for your generous support you will receive a quarterly newsletter updating you on activtiies in Nepal and the UK, and invites to HVP UK social events and meetings. Child sponsorship: Our sponsorship scheme helps more than 70 children from disadvantaged children in Nepal to receive a private-school standard education at HVP schools when they would otherwise be receiving no education at all. Our sponsorship scheme corrects an imbalance of opportunity in Nepali society, building the foundations of a fairer future free of prejudice and inequality. Teacher Exchanges: HVP UK members have helped fund and coordinate visits by HVP school staff for valuable training and link-building trips to the UK.

Social Events: HVP UK organises annual social events to help ex-volunteers and those interested in the work of HVP in Nepal to stay in touch with each other, and to raise further funds for our work.
