HVP UK ACTIVITIES

HVP UK provides practical support and financial assistance to help the work of the Hindu Vidyapeeth (HVP) movement in Nepal. We also act as a forum for HVP friends, supporters and former volunteers to share their experiences with each other and keep up to date with news and developments from the HVP schools in Nepal.

HVP UK Key Activities Include:

• Membership: Nearly 100 HVP friends and supporters are fee-paying members of HVP UK, providing an invaluable source of regular funds.




• Child Sponsorship: Over 70 children in Nepal are now benefiting from an education through our HVP UK Sponsorship Programme.



• Fundraising: We continue to help raise funds to assist the HVP schools with projects such as purchasing land or constructing buildings.



• Teacher Exchanges: Members have helped fund and co-ordinate the exchange of teachers from Nepal to the UK.



• Social Events: We promote the work of HVP through informal meetings and social events. These help to keep alive the spirit of HVP among supporters in the UK while also helping raise funds to support our work.
